About Pooler, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Pooler is a Chatham County city positioned in southeastern Georgia. It is located about 9 miles west of Savannah, Georgia and about 240 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were 23,000 people living in Pooler in 2016. It is the second largest city in Chatham County.

Pooler is named in honor of Robert William Pooler. The city was given its name in 1838. Robert Pooler was a resident of Savannah, Georgia and worked for the Central of Georgia Railroad. William Gordon, president of the railroad, named the city. Gordon decided to honor William Pooler by giving the station his name because William Pooler was such a hard working individual. The city was originally the first rail station west of Savannah. In 1907, Pooler became incorporated as a city. The first mayor was H. G. Beaufort. In 1923, the first town hall was erected.

Today, Pooler is a developed city with many attractions. Mighty 8th Air Force Museum, Savannah Quarters golf community, and Old Fort Jackson are a few of the attractions located in the area.
