About Savannah, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Savannah, Georgia is a beautiful coastal city located in Chatham County. It is the oldest city in Georgia and maintains the 4th largest population in the state. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were about 147,000 people living in Savannah. The friendly culture and beautiful scenery of the city have attracted many residents, making Savannah one of the most popular and unique cities in Georgia.

The recorded history of Savannah dates back to the early 1700s when General James Oglethorpe and 120 passengers of the ship "Anne" reached dry land on a bluff along the Savannah River. Oglethorpe named the 13th American colony Georgia in honor of King George II. After the colony was established, Savannah became the first community. Once the Civil War ended in the 1800s, the Reconstructionist era began. During this period of time food was scarce the local economy was in shambles. However, Savannah outlasted the Reconstructionist era and developed to become one of the most popular Southern cities. More than 50 million people have visited Savannah in the last 10 years. The elegant architecture, ornate ironwork, fountains and green squares, and charming southern culture of the city attract many tourists. When individuals arrive in Savannah, they often do not want to leave.

Savannah is located in a humid subtropical climate. This means the city experiences very warm summers. The location of the city along the southeastern coast makes the town susceptible to very warm temperatures, high humidity levels, and precipitation. Temperatures throughout the months of June, July, and August range from the low to mid-90s during the daytime. Humidity levels are usually very high throughout these months and precipitation is very common. Central air conditioning units help residents and visitors stay cool and comfortable indoors when the extremely warm weather is present in Savannah.
